USG - A Privately Held Minnesota Company since 1994
TOPIC: USG Announces New Recovery Center
United Security Group is proud to announce the opening of the
new USG BUSINESS RECOVERY CENTER located at 401 2nd Ave S in
downtown Minneapolis. With 64,000 sq ft of recovery space
spanning four floors, two backup diesel generators, situated on
two power grids, private offices and conference rooms, several
large walk-in bank vaults, and a SONET Fiber Ring, makes the USG
Business Recovery Center the largest recovery facility of its
kind in Minnesota.

USG - A Privately Held Minnesota Company since 1994
TOPIC: Homeland Security, Disaster Preparedness, and a small
company from Minnesota
Ways and Means committee member Congressman James Ramstad has
recommended USG - a leading provider of Business Continuity
Planning and Training - to Secretary Ridge at Homeland Security.
Congress is just one of the groups discovering the level of
competency and compliance that USG provides to its clients. USG
holds a remarkable 100% client satisfaction rating. This becomes
obvious as major corporations continue to re-engage USG because
of USG's successful process of delivering a complete business
continuity planning and training package including a Structured
Walk-through Disaster Simulation Training Exercise to all
recovery team members. USG's impressive client list, which
doubles as a list of those who are willing to recommend USG’s
services, include such organizations as:
- Best
Buy
- General
Dynamics
- Motorola
(who actually give a full endorsement of USG's services)
- Lawson
Software
- General
Mills
- BlueCross
BlueShield
- Wyeth
Pharmaceuticals
- Great
River Energy
- Digital
Globe
- Toro
- Minnesota
State Colleges & Universities
- Pella
Corporation
- Donaldson
Company
- Digital
River
- And
the list goes on!
USG
has been able to capture the essence of strategic emergency
recovery after a disaster through its thorough training and
actual plan development process. This process is currently in a
patent pending status. It is unique because of USG's efficient
engagement roll-out.
Now the US Government is taking a closer look at USG for all
federal agencies. Because USG can deliver and complete large
engagements in record time at unusually low prices, the vast
number of agencies required to create standardized planning and
training can swiftly replicate the USG process throughout the
country. USG's process and philosophy appears to be working
successfully in the corporate world and apparently has
successfully crossed over into the public sector winning a
national award from the National Association of Counties after
USG completed a large engagement for Dakota County, one of
Minnesota's largest government agencies.
USG University, a division of USG, Inc., has now rolled out a
complete course on Business Continuity Planning and Training. A
course that was designed to be held in conjunction with related
conferences, the USG classes were successfully delivered to
Wyeth Pharmaceuticals this month at Wyeth’s training facility
just outside of Philadelphia. This was a giant step for a little
known – but wildly successful – Minnesota Company.
USG ANNOUNCES PATENT
Minneapolis, MN - March 20, 2003
Minneapolis, Minnesota-based USG, Inc. has announced its
Business Continuity Planning and Training Process Patent status
as of first quarter 2003. The industry leader in Business
Continuity Planning & Training, USG has filed for patent its
unique and effective Process by which clients are lead through
comprehensive contingency Planning & Training.
Faegre & Benson, LLC of Minneapolis, USG’s corporate law
firm, suggest that USG founder and Principal, Robert Huber, has
hit upon an industry first. “No other company does just what
we do, and no one can back it up with the support and training
we provide.” says Huber. The Midwest seems to agree as the
company boasts an unprecedented 100% client satisfaction rating.
USG, Inc. executives credit the group’s diverse professional
credentials and innovation for their success and rapid growth.
“The service we provide is increasingly important in today’s
economy, and in today’s world,” says Account Manager Annie
Weissman, adding “Most corporations need to consider
developing a business continuity plan as comprehensive as those
we offer, even if they don’t contract with us.” Publicly
held companies are required to have a current business
continuity plan, complete with documentation of employee
training and proof that exercises were conducted based on those
plans. USG Inc.’s patented process is unique in its planning
and training services offering, and guarantees compliance with
regulatory authorities.
USG, Inc.’s goal is to dominate the U.S. market by the end of
2004 with their patented process for Business Continuity
Planning & Training that has become so widely accepted.
USG, Inc. is proud to announce that it has filed a patent
application (i.e., patent pending), through Faegre & Benson
of Minneapolis, to protect aspects of its proprietary business
methods relating to business continuity.
As an industry leader, USG is setting new standards of Business
Continuity Planning and Training that will raise the bar of
recovery planning and training expectations, as mandatory
compliance and auditing techniques continue to evolve.
We would like to thank those of you who are our clients and
partners for helping us reach the position of becoming the
largest provider of Business Continuity Planning and Training in
the Midwest with 100% client satisfaction.
Later this year USG will be releasing information about new
initiatives which will broaden both USG’s scope and product
offerings.
